But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us ~ II Cor. 4:7

The Commissioned Lay Pastor Program of Albany Presbytery is a program of preparation for lay leaders who are called by God to serve in the pastoral ministry.

It is an enriching program that equips future lay pastors to serve not only as the spiritual leader of a church but in any aspect of the pastoral ministry where theological training is necessary.

It is CLPs who will be uniquely qualified to fill the increasing number of part-time positions that characterize the current reality of the emerging church.

The documents listed below will give you a good idea of what the program entails. However, for additional information, please call Dean Norma Brown so that she can meet with you personally to explore this challenging and exciting opportunity.
