Albany Presbytery Community,
It’s with joy that I share the news I have accepted a call to serve as the solo pastor of Culver City Presbyterian Church in Southern California. This is an exciting opportunity, and I hope you will pray for me as I prepare to take it on. My last Sunday at Westminster will be June 5th, and my family will move shortly thereafter.
The church I am going to offers me new possibilities and opportunities. Culver City Presbyterian is in a redevelopment period where they are looking to renew who they are as a congregation. They are looking to reach out to their local community in new ways and have a more meaningful presence. Habitat for Humanity is putting in a section of new houses across the street with Culver City Presbyterian as the host site for the build. It is a diverse and vibrant community, and I believe my gifts will be a good match for their ministry.
I wish I could be there in person at Silver Bay to wish all of you farewell in person. It’s been a real joy to serve among you in Albany Presbytery over these almost 6 years. And who knows, our paths may cross again soon. It is, after all, a very small Presbyterian world.
Abundant Blessings,
Rev. Frances Wattman Rosenau
