SUMMARY:NYS Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
DESCRIPTION:Each year clergy are required to take the New York State Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. Practical Resource Center (PRC)\, of which Albany Presbytery is a member\, offers this online training several times and you may take this training any time during the year. \nOnce one has finished the training\, they issue a certificate saying it has been completed successfully. That certificate should be sent to Rev. David Bennett\, Stated Clerk of the presbytery\, so that presbytery has a record of completion. \nThis training is mandatory and not taking it can result in difficulty for the church in getting insurance and action by the presbytery concerning one’s call. \nWednesday\, August 12\, 2026\n7:00 pm – 9:30 pm ET \nREGISTER HERE \nPlease click on the event link above or contact Charlaine at charlaine@prcli.org to register. Please call 631-486-4350 with any questions. \n\nTraining Details \nLeader: Patti Berner \nThis annual training includes an explanation of sexual harassment\, church-based case studies of unlawful sexual harassment\, information concerning employees’ rights\, information addressing conduct by church leadership and the responsibilities of the church’s leadership\, information on the documents the church must have in place\, and information concerning the federal and state statutory provisions concerning sexual harassment. This is an online and interactive 90-minute session which meets New York State Standards for Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.

DESCRIPTION:Where: First Presbyterian Church of Albany\, Assembly Hall \nWhen: 3rd Thursday of every month \nTime:  \n\n11:00 am – 2:00 pm\n5:00 – 7:00 pm\n\nParking: Parking is available in the church parking lot until 6:00 pm. After 6:00 pm please park on the street and not in the parking lot. Enter through the door off the State St. parking lot or the door by the ramp on Willett St. \nThe Labyrinth is open to the public and all are invited to this experience! There will be music\, candles\, chairs\, opportunities to rest\, pray\, contemplate\, and walk the labyrinth. If you are need assistance\, there will be someone available at the labyrinth throughout the time. All ages welcome! \nEvent Flyer \nThe labyrinth literally reintroduces the experience of walking a clearly defined path.
