Churchwide Presbyterian Women, through their Together in Service mission program, have pledged their support to Presbyterian Women in the Synod of Puerto Rico’s longterm recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane María. Hamilton Union’s Presbyterian Women group eagerly responded to the call for help by providing art supplies to the Presbyterian Women booth at the Presbyterian Youth Triennium last month, which allowed visitors to stop by to decorate pillowcases that were being sent to children in hospitals in Puerto Rico. Hamilton Union’s Interim Minister, Rev. Janice West,  also attended the Triennium, and brought with her some pillowcases that had been beautifully hand decorated by members of Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church.

The purpose of the Albany Presbytery Blog is to share information, tell stories, and promote the mission and ministry of the presbytery, synod and beyond. While the breadth of this medium is intentionally broad, it is not a platform for opinion pieces related to business coming before the presbytery unless designed as part of an initiative to provide a diversity of viewpoints at the direction of the presbytery.
