Your presbytery Mission Committee wants to lift up a request from one of our six Mission Partners.

Rural and Migrant Ministry (RMM) needs re-usable face masks.  Here is a simple, non-financial way to support our partner – and in the process, to learn about their good work.

We invite all congregations to donate at least 10 re-usable masks. Perhaps you have people who can make them at home.  Perhaps they may know of other sources.  Our ultimate goal is 1,000 masks, which averages to about 20 per church. Whatever you can do – 10, 20, or 200 – will be much appreciated. Use your favorite mask pattern, or find a pattern online. You may also email us at the addresses listed below should you need assistance.

Please ship your church’s completed masks to: First Presbyterian Church of Valatie, Box 267, Valatie, NY 12184

For more information, you may email me, or Kathi Jones who will be coordinating the collection of the masks.

Thank you in advance for any support you can give to this effort.

In Christ,
Nancy Pienta
Ruling Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Valatie & Member of the Albany Presbytery Mission Committee

About Albany Presbytery Communications

Albany Presbytery strives to provide relevant information using a variety of communication channels including our website, email, paper mailings, social media, and in-person meetings. Please let us know of any erroneous information you may find. If you have information to share, we would be happy to connect with you. You can contact us via email here.

The purpose of the Albany Presbytery Blog is to share information, tell stories, and promote the mission and ministry of the presbytery, synod and beyond. While the breadth of this medium is intentionally broad, it is not a platform for opinion pieces related to business coming before the presbytery unless designed as part of an initiative to provide a diversity of viewpoints at the direction of the presbytery. Exceptions to this policy may be brought to the presbytery officers who will determine appropriateness of submissions.
