Greetings in the Name of the Lord on behalf of Albany Presbytery. As the new moderators of the Albany Presbytery, we are hoping to connect with our congregations. We have received permission from our sessions to offer the second Sunday each month for pulpit exchange with any congregation who would be interested.

How would a pulpit exchange work?

Step 1: Contact Us

Contact Michael or Kate (our contact info is below). Let us know which month you would like to have your pastor come to our church and we come to yours. We will preach and/or lead the whole service according to your needs. We will also be available to come early or stay after for any class or gathering you might want to arrange. Such gatherings might include sermon feedback, gathering with session or leaders of the congregation to talk about ways the presbytery can support your congregation; listening forums, “What do you wish presbytery understood better about your congregation”; a bible study, or Sunday school class (any age).

Step 2: Make plans for your pastor to come to our church

In return, your Pastor will preach at either Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church or Cambridge United Presbyterian Church. Our congregations will take responsibility for the other aspects of worship.

What if we are currently without pastoral leadership?

If you are presently without a pastor or Commissioned Ruling Elder (CRE), other Ministers of Word and Sacrament in the presbytery have offered to preach in our churches so that we can still come to yours.

Are you interested?

If this sounds like something that interests you, please fill out the form below. Please contact us soon. We will each only have 12 Sundays and already 4 of them are taken. Once we make a plan, we will send a confirmation letter with helpful information about our worship traditions, times, directions, etc.

We hope to be an encouragement to the congregations of the presbytery, to strengthen the combined witness of our Presbytery and to encourage the value of cross-fertilization.

Together in ministry,
