Webinar Basics

Join us for 1 Hour Online to Discuss our Future!

You spoke: Per the Landscape assessment, you said you wanted more visibility to what is happening with the Transition Process.

We listened: Three Upcoming Webinars will provide you with a status update and an opportunity to provide feedback and engage before our meetings in June at Silver Bay.

Come and join us via an online webinar.  The webinar details are listed at the end of this article.

What is a webinar?

A seminar conducted over the internet or commonly referred to as “online.”

There are 2 ways to see a webinar. What are they?

Live webinar: This is when panelists are actually presenting an online seminar in “real-time” to a live audience.

Recorded: This is when a seminar is recorded (think a video) and people are invited to watch the recorded webinar at a time of their choosing.

How does a live webinar work?

  • Register by clicking on the registration link. (Detailed instructions are provided below)
  • When it is coming close the time of the webinar, sign on about 15 minutes early to make sure you have time to allow any webinar software to download or for updates to install.
  • Attendees wait in the “waiting room” until we are ready to go live and start the webinar.
  • The panelists will present their slides, maybe use a webcam so you can see them.  As an attendee, you will use your computer screen and watch, listen and learn.
  • Attendees can ask questions directly via voice when we unmute them.  You will also be able to ask questions through the chat/question window during the webinar.
  • Links to Tips and User Guides are shown below

How does a recorded webinar work?

We will record the live webinar, with the audience. You will have access to watch the video with the presentations and conversations that were recorded in the live webinar.

Can the audience interact?

  1. The attendees can interact when holding a live webinar. They can ask questions via voice if they have dialed in via phone or using their computer microphone.
  2. The attendees can also ask questions and talk to the panelists through a text chat/question window on the computer screen.

See below for more information on our upcoming webinars and instructions on how to register.  Questions?  Please feel free to contact Kim Deal @ communications@albanypresbytery.org
