Boundary Awareness Training for Laity

This training is specifically for laity who serve on committees like: session, personnel, staff-parish relations, vestry, and consistory.

You’re Invited!

In today’s faith communities, creating environments of trust, respect, and care is essential. Boundary Awareness Training is required for most clergy and has been helpful in aiding the understanding of healthy relationships and self-care. This training has not historically been available to all leaders in the church, however. In recognition of church leadership as a community in and of itself, this training seeks to empower the whole leadership team to build health through the development of common language and skills sets for managing healthy relationships. Building on Clergy Boundary Awareness Training, this will allow church leaders to understand the same theory and techniques for healthy boundaries that clergy employ.

This training is specifically for laity who serve on committees like: session, personnel, staff-parish relations, vestry, and consistory.

Participants of the training will learn about boundaries and leave with concrete tasks to help improve the communication and overall health of church committees. By fostering a culture of safety and mutual respect, you will contribute to a more supportive, transparent, and spiritually nourishing community. Join us to learn how to protect both yourself and others while nurturing connections rooted in compassion and integrity.
