About the Trip
The Albany Presbytery Anti-Racism Task Force (ARTF) is sponsoring a Civil Rights pilgrimage to sacred sites in Montgomery and Selma.
Highlights include visits to:
- Equal Justice Initiative
- Southern Poverty Law Center
- Edmund Pettis Bridge
- Annual Airing of Quilts Festival in Gee’s Bend, created by descendants of formerly enslaved people.
- Biscuit-making workshop, led by Southern Chef Scott Peacock
Participants will:
- Gather in advance for planning, prayer, and discussion
- Read and reflect on the work of Bryan Stevenson
- Share meals together, including at Black-owned restaurants
Additional Details:
- A moderate amount of walking is expected
- Space is limited to 10 participants. Early interest is encouraged.

- Biscuit-making workshop (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) in Marion, Alabama: Led by Southern Chef Scott Peacock – Cost: $300
- Alternative options are available in Selma for those not participating
